Okay, YES YES YES, the southern soul food is AMAZING. No matter what day of the week it is, every meal is filled with the love of a Sunday afternoon supper or dinner. This is because Ms. Kendall is putting her heart and soul into the food and the service provided by her hand picked staff. And believe you me, many of her clientele are seasoned southern women who know how soul food is supposed to look, smell and taste. Ain’t no faking the funk. Kendall’s is the real deal Holyfield!!!

Amazing great home cooked food! Kendall is the sweetest soul I've ever met! Amber the waitress was amazing! She was the only one there waiting tables it was busy! The check out guy needs a little prep for smoothness for the whole business! He could have helped amber seeing she was so busy! He also needs to recommend and upselll to customers that ask too many questions! Sell it bro even if ya ain't tried it say ya have if it's a great seller. Know this business it's Kendalls baby! I sold cornbread and greens for you and mac n cheese just based on the fact I've had it as well as it all was an upsell for her business! My food was absolutely Bomb as usual!!! Kendall never disappoints me!!! As well as asked where my mom was and how she was doing! Amazing !!!!

Delicious crabcakes, broiled, just for us! They also fixed a great garden side salad, instead of fries, helping me to stay with my healthy eating choices. Other great choices of sides, and I stole a few fork fulls of my husband's, just for a taste! We'll be back... ...

Friendly service & fresh, homemade meals. Crab cakes, fried chicken and pork chops were delicious, portions were large and the cornbread was a HIT! Our server, Amber was fantastic!

What a great surprise! My family really enjoyed the food here. We ordered Catfish, butterfly shrimp, crab cakes, trout and scallops. We loved them all! Especially the crab cakes! We definitely will be coming back to order other things on the menu! (Gizzards!) **EDIT - we came back and tried the Gizzards! Did not disappoint! The CORNBREAD is also a big hit! Definitely will come back for more Cornbread next time.

We weren't expecting much. None of us could agree on what to eat. So this place was a compromise. It was really wonderful. Very unexpected. Everything came out hot. The folks there were gracious. The tea was perfect. I'm kinda picky about my tea... all of us had something different. Not a single complaint. It's now our go-to place when we're up that way.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time. The food was amazing, and the service was wonderful. I ordered a cheesesteak sub with French fries and collard greens. My only complaint is that the collard greens were bland and lacking in flavor; adding some smoked fatback or smoked turkey would have enhanced them nicely. Other than that, my meal was delicious. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and cabbage. He mentioned that the cabbage was also bland and could benefit from some bacon for added flavor. Overall, the food was very good, and we would definitely return.
